It's the night before my knee surgery and surprisingly I'm not really nervous. Family and friends have been wishing me luck and telling me everything will be great but I'm honestly fine. In August, my aunt had major surgery and she did amazing through it. If she can do what she did then I can get through this knee surgery.
I have had so much to do before tomorrow since I can't do certain things. For example, we are putting our house on the market so my room needed to look perfect! I think I'm going to do a room blog post and share some pictures. I'll have the time to do that while I'm out of work but only when I'm not watching Gossip Girl on Netfix. Surgery is at 6am so I should go get some sleep! And yes this was a random post, I know.
This blog is my thoughts and feeling that I would like to share with you. You know when you have something you really want to tell your best friend and you can't wait? Well now I'm not going to only share with my best friend but with you, my new friend.

YouTube Spotlight
If you read my Ingrid and Insecurities post then you know I enjoy watching YouTube videos. Not so much videos where people do stupid crazy stuff (although those can be quite funny) but hair videos, make up, DIY, and life videos. I have my favorites and I would like to talk about one of them in this YouTube Spotlight blog. Today I want to talk about Bethany Mota. You may or may not know who that is. She started making videos a couple of years ago because she was being bullied and was shy. She loved the YouTube community and wanted to make her own videos and join in. Now she has over 7.5 million followers on YouTube, she has a clothing line, perfume, and home décor at Aeropostale, she's on Dancing With The Stars on ABC, guest judge on Project Runway on Lifetime, and has her first single out featuring Mike Tompkins. Did I mention she's only 18 years old?
I don't think I can do justice on describing how amazing this girl is. I can not believe all she has accomplished at such a young age. She still has her whole life ahead of her I can't imagine what she is going to do next. The reason I love watching her videos and why I became on of those 7.5 million followers is because she is completely herself. She laughs at her own jokes, she leaves in bloopers, she comes across as if you are just sitting with a friend chatting. You should definitely check out her YouTube channel and watch her dance on DWTS. Derek Hough is her partner on the show and he's definitely not bad to look at either.

Are you follower? If so, what is your favorite video of hers? I really like when she does monthly favorites videos.

Embarrassing Moment of the Day
Today I was at Target doing some shopping for some containers and such when I saw this really cute chair that would look great for my desk. My current desk chair is just a cheap red chair from Ikea. The chair I saw today was actually a chair I saw a couple of weeks ago, on sale for $45 but I'm trying to save money for a vacation, so it was too much. However, today is was on sale for $26. I was so excited because it matches my room and was pretty inexpensive. An employee brought it up front to customer service for me while I continued shopping.
I ask the lady at customer service if I could pay for the chair now and pick it up later, but she said they don't hold paid merchandise. She also said they can't hold clearance merchandise. I really wanted this chair and this was the last one in the color I wanted but I wasn't sure it would fit in my car. I paid for it and figured it would fit. Man was I wrong. I could not fit it through the car door! My only option was to wait for my stepdad to get off work, go home, and get his truck. It was around 3:50pm and my stepdad gets off at 4 pm, if he gets done on time. I texted him my problem and he came and helped me. I was standing outside my car with the dang chair for 40 minutes! Totally embarrassing! I'm sure I looked like a weirdo but it was worth it, plus we all had a good laugh.

Happy Happy Birthday!
In my family birthdays are really special. When I turned sixteen I woke up to find my room filled with balloons, confetti everywhere including my bed, and a present on my dresser. That's the best way to wake up on your birthday. (And if you're wondering yes I am such a heavy sleeper that I didn't wake up while she was setting up.) Even when I was away at college my mom always made me feel loved and thought of even though we were far apart.
Last year I wanted to make my stepdad's birthday really special and I planned to throw confetti on him when his alarm went off at 5am for work. It was a bold choice and I spent an extreme amount of time making homemade confetti. Well 5am came and I showered him in confetti or as he says it threw confetti in his face. He was not too pleased but so he decided to get me back on my birthday by decorating my room with a ton of balloons, posters, and of course, under my comforter on my bed was a butt load of confetti. He did that in May and I'm still finding confetti in my room even though I have vacuumed a bunch since.
Also starting last year with my stepdad's birthday we have been having themed birthday decorations for the birthday person. The theme is picked out by the buyer and is of course relating to the birthday person. Last year my stepdad's birthday theme was Angry Birds, my mom's was princess, and mine was Frozen themed. This year I picked minion themed for my stepdad. I haven't figured out a theme for my mom but I need to figure it out because hers is just a couple of weeks away.

This was the party hat for my stepdad's party last year. A good party has a party hat.
This was my birthday set up. My parents did a great job! I was so surprised when I got home.
Since we are putting our house on the market I couldn't go as big as usual so it all was in one small area in the dinning room.
Confetti everywhere!
I found a mini piñata at Target that I had to get. My stepdad didn't want to break him open because he was so cool. His name is Hector and he sits on my stepdad's night stand.
Minions wearing party hats on a party hat... WHAT!!
I had to super size this picture so you could see the confetti. I found John confetti for my stepdad for his birthday last year. Not sure why I can't find any pictures of my mom's birthday, I know I took a bunch...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN! HOPE YOU HAVE AN AWESOME DAY!
LOVE YOU :)

Pinterest Cooking
Everything on Pinterest looks so yummy and is supposedly easy to make. I've been pinning a bunch of recipes I have wanted to try and of course I don't make any of them so I decided why not try. I picked a recipe that was pinned from the Beard and Bonnet blog. It's peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich cookies, sounds delicious right? They were pretty tasty but personally the fluff was a bit too much for me. Who knows maybe I added too much but I enjoyed the peanut butter cookies by themselves and will probably make them again. They have no flour so it's perfect for me and my gluten free lifestyle. Here is the recipe from the blog:
Place all ingredients in the bow of a stand mixer and mix on low until combined. Use a small ice cream or cookie scoop and drop 1 ½ tablespoonful’s of dough onto the prepared baking sheets. Use a fork to flatten the mounds of dough and create a criss-cross pattern on each cookie.
Bake cookies for 10-12 minutes or until golden around the edges. Remove from the oven and rest on the baking sheet for a few minutes until the cookies firm up enough to transfer to cooling racks.
Once cooled spread at least 1 heaping tablespoonful of Marshmallow Fluff onto the back of one of the peanut butter cookies and top with another. Get wet wipes handy and dig in, these babies are messy and are sure to trigger fits of giggles.

Must Have Monday
It finally feels like fall! The weather is a bit chilly and everything is pumpkin flavored. Fall and spring are my two favorite seasons because it's not too hot or too cold. One of my favorite things about fall is shoes. I know that sounds weird but in winter most people are wearing Uggs to keep warm (I own a few pair so I understand why), spring and summer are for sandals and flip flops. As much as I love sandals and flip flops I love fall shoes better. Fall is when you get to wear your fashionable boots or comfortable sneakers. I love a good pair of Converses or Vans with jeans and a sweatshirt! Here are my five must have fall boots and booties...
Now let's go through them pair by pair!
These are from Forever 21 and these are probably my most comfortable boots I own.
The buckles and the crossing straps help make these black boots a little edgy.
These are the most recent addition to my shoe collection. I love how the top comes a little bit low and that the heel isn't high at all. You can either dress these up or dress them down for everyday wear.
When I saw these it was like love at first sight. I had to go to so many stores to find them in my size and luckily ended up finding them online. I had wanted a pair of boots just like these but could never find the perfect pair I was wanting, till I found these.
For the most part these Madden Girl boots are really comfortable but the zippers in the back dig into my ankles every time I step so it's a huge problem. No lie I have a scar from wearing them and the zipper making me bleed. I need to find a way to fix this problem so I can wear them more.
Another Madden Girl booties that I have been wanting again. Till I found these, most of the ones I saw in stores, the heel was too high or the color was weird. These are really comfortable and super cute!
This is a terrible picture of my Guess boots. They come up above the calf and are simple but have a couple of buckles and such that dress it up a little. The camera does not do justice on the color of these.
This looks more like the color of my boots but they are a little darker. My favorite part of these boots is the flannel peaking out of the decorative zipper on the side.

Let's Catch Up
Guys, it's been so long since I have talked to you all! I'm a terrible friend sorry for being silent but let me catch you up on some things that have been happening. First, I don't know if I've mention this before or not but I play rugby on a club level. I love rugby because it's not a very common sport here in the US. A while ago I hurt my knee while tackling someone but figured it would go away. I can't even count how many times I've been hurt before, it's a tough sport. Well it's been months now and it still is bothering me so I finally decided to go to the doctors and I got an MRI. It turns out I tore my meniscus which explains all my pain. I've decided to follow the doctors orders and get knee surgery. My surgery is on the 29 so it's coming very soon and I'll be out of work for 6 weeks so I have a lot to do before hand. I've never had surgery before so I'm a little nervous but mainly nervous about the recovery and how long it will take for me to back to normal. I was told that I might also need physical therapy but we wont know till after the surgery. I'm so ready to have this surgery and hopefully have a less hurtful knee.
Second, my family is thinking about moving! Umm....What?! Moving can be a lot of fun because it's a new environment and a change of pace but it can also be stressful and annoying to have to leave your home. With this move comes a lot of mixed feeling and grown up decisions on my part. But one thing I know for sure... this will be a long process.
Third, I bought something on eBay for the first time. I like the idea of eBay but to me I'm afraid that I'll buy something and it wont be the right item or that it is the item I want just not in the condition I thought it was in. It's not like you can return everything you don't like. I know that eBay has a policy that will return your payment and shipping cost if the item you get delivered is not the item you bought but there is still so much that could go wrong. (I find it weird that in this post I seem to have a lot of worries because I usually don't worry about a dang thing.) Anyways back to my point, I bought this really cute olive green army jacket that I wanted since last year from Forever 21 but I always put off buying it. When I went to purchase it last year from Forever 21's website they were sold out and never showed up again. I am so glad I was able to find the same jacket and that it arrived today as perfect as I pictured it. Here is a picture of the model wearing it:

Lastly, today my mother and I went shoe shopping at the local mall where I had my first celebrity sighting. Ok well maybe not a celebrity to be exact. I saw Remy and Rob Maaddi plus there twin baby girls! Remy and Rob are from the show Bridezillas and Bridezillas Marriage Boot Camp. So reality show celebrities right? Just give me this one guys! I saw a lady standing there with a stroller with two toddler aged girls and I thought she looked really familiar but I can't think why. I looked away then looked back and realized who it was. I got my mom's attention and told her. She actually went over to Remy and started talking about her adorable girls. A minute or two later her husband came over, Rob, and I knew for sure it was them. My mom even talked to Rob a little because their daughters were waving and talking to us, like I said they were adorable. Remy and Rob were super nice and I'm glad to know they are still very much together I always liked them. Have you seen them on either of the shows? I think they had their own show too but I haven't seen it.
Here is a picture I found on Google of them in case you need a face to go with the name.
This one is from OK! Magazine. Aren't their little girls so cute? They are older now about one I would say.
So now you know what's been going on with me but what's been going on in your life?
